How 3D Puff HTV Works
3D Puff HTV starts flat on the carrier sheet, then physically inflates when heat is applied — creating a raised, textured surface that adds real dimension to your designs. The effect is permanent and withstands normal washing and wearing.
Best Designs for Puff HTV
Puff vinyl works best with bold, thick designs — think block text, chunky logos, team numbers, and simple shapes. Fine lines and small text won't puff evenly, so keep your minimum line width at 3mm or thicker for the best results. This is a favorite for streetwear brands, sports apparel, and premium custom merch.
Application Tips
Temperature: 320°F (160°C) | Time: 12–15 seconds | Pressure: Medium
Important: Do NOT press face-down on the puff side — use a Teflon sheet or silicone pad on top, or flip the garment and press from the back. Pressing directly on the puff can flatten the effect.
Layering with Puff
You can layer standard HTV over puff vinyl for multi-color raised designs. Press the puff layer first, then apply the top layer at a slightly lower temperature to avoid over-inflating the puff.
